Its indeed the room acoustics, that has an even larger influence on the playback than all the devices and cables put together. Even a changed speaker setup leads to a new acoustic situation in a room and often to a changed bass playback, spatiality, and offset in depth. Even the speaker himself is 100 years after its invention still not perfect. Typically variations of the frequency response and especially the inaccurate time behavior affects of pure listening.

The AudioVolver II, exclusively developed for audiodata allows an completely independent optimisation of the amplitude frequency response and the time response of the speakers, while taking the influences of the listening room into consideration. The possibilities that evolve from this are truly unique:

• music gets the right timing
• the bass becomes tighter and the room influences are suppressed
• the music plays with the highest clarity
• there is spatial depth, the offset in depth improves
• a coherent three-dimensional music reproduction is created
• the music completely detaches itself from the speakers

The AudioVolver II has not the least to do with conventional equalizers. With the AudioVolver II, you get a sound experience that is not possible using conventional DSP technology, as used in almost all current audio processors. This is why the AudioVolver II works with a modern computer CPU that is even capable of calculating very long optimisations in real time. This enables it to precisely optimise the amplitude frequency response with a resolution of 0.6 Hz (that corresponds to a conventional 32,000 channel equaliser) and a time correction up to 22 µs (corresponding to the distance between two sampling values on a CD).

You can integrate the AudioVolver II digital and/or analog into an existing hi-fi system and thereby replace a seperate digital-to-analog converter. The AudioVolver II has a digital volume control and - due to its hardware architecture - can even run as a high quality network player in a UPnP-home network (Server - Controller - Renderer). This higly-interessting feature is available as an option for new devices and can be retrofitted to all units sold since the summer of 2009 via firmware update.

Using the provided remote control, you can handle the AudioVolver II from your listening position. Pushing a simple combination of buttons, you can compare and switch on or off two different optimisations, thus enabling a direct A/B comparison. As a network player the AudioVolver II can comfortably be served via iPod/iPhone/iPad.

The enclosure of the AudioVolver II is completely made of precision milled aluminium. Inside, it is covered with bitumen plates to damp resonances. Two separated power supply packs serve the premium digital and analogue circuits from two sources completely separate from one another. The AudioVolver II is cooled passively, without bothersome fan noises.

The AudioVolver II itself is just half of the competence: An appropriate service concept, of course, is an integral component of such a high-tech device. Overburdened users and unsuitable measuring devices used on systems having a comparable technical approach have shown in the past how it does not work.
